Lead to LOW Quality of Life

Lacking clean water for daily life will directly lead to LOW quality of life. According to the Central Intelligence Agency, there are only 49% of the water in Ethiopia is suitable for human beings to drink, which is an extremely low number relatively to countries like Canada and Australia (Source). It may cause a lot of problems and affect the quality of life of people in Ethiopia. Since it is necessary to have enough clean water for drinking in order to maintain human’s life. Due to the lack of clean water, the average life expectancy in Ethiopia is 60 years old which is a pretty low number (Source). Moreover, low life expectancy will affect the development and living standard of this country as the time he/she works who died young would be shorter than people have a longer lifespan. Therefore, the money he/she makes would not be as much as people have a longer lifespan, the GDP of the country would be less than the others. Therefore, we should not ignore the importance of this miserable issue and treasure the water we have.

Effect other Countries

Not only the people around Ethiopia, it will also affect people from other countries and damage oceans over times. Since most of the oceans and rivers are connect together like the Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean, therefore if one of the river or ocean is polluted, it will easily cause pollution all around the world and bring harms to other countries. Moreover, 97.5% of water on earth is salt water, leaving only 2.5% as freshwater, hence we can see there is only little clean water remained, besides the amount of clean water is decreasing continuously(Source). Moreover, nearly 70% of the fresh water is frozen in the ice caps in Antarctica and Greenland, and less than 1% of the world's fresh water is accessible for direct human uses(Source). The water from lakes, rivers, reservoirs and underground are not enough for human beings at an affordable cost(Source).
